De-Armouring Bodywork

Hands-on somatic bodywork for releasing deeply held tension, emotion and protective holding patterns.

De-armouring is the bodywork-focused element of my Somatic Trauma Release practice. It works with areas of physical tension and protective holding that may have developed through stress, emotional experiences or habitual patterns within the body.

Unlike a traditional massage, the intention is not simply to manipulate or relax the muscles. Through conscious, attuned touch, breath, body awareness and gentle sustained pressure, we work with areas of holding while remaining responsive to your body, boundaries and nervous system.

As the body begins to soften, you may experience physical release, deeper breathing, emotion, movement, warmth, trembling or simply a profound sense of relaxation and reconnection.

Sessions are consent-led, trauma-informed and carefully paced, creating space for the body to release without force and supporting a deeper sense of safety, embodiment and connection with yourself.
